SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The company issue established for intervention experiences a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who pay a click here visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
